PaCT

Published and Cross-Verified Transaction

Standard Sequence
In the Standard PaCT Sequence, the Seller's convenience is prioritized and the Buyer is expected to put up with minor inconveniences in exchange for being able to use a ledger-based currency brand to purchase a product. For example, the Buyer may have to shoulder the minor cost of text messaging and have luck in finding QR-code applications for his mobile device and sellers that support it. Otherwise, the Buyer would have to rely on text message templates and manually enter transaction data.

Note that even though the example publishing and query formats in red text are Prowl-based, a PaCT sequence may use other "publisher"-"reporter" protocols.

It is important to note that even though the illustrated Steps 4-9 may seem complex, the payment processing would be done within a few seconds and the seller only has to review the record in Step 9.

If the record is not refuted, the remaining sequence will finish automatically without any action required on the part of the transactors.

The following diagram summarizes the preceding examples.
